Welcome to the A2C Migration application download site

Welcome to the A2C Migration Application download website.

The A2C Data Exchange Project, led by the JCQ awarding bodies, is designed to improve the process currently know as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). The project aims to streamline the data and transfer of data between awarding bodies and centres, bringing the process into the 21st century.

Part of the way that A2C will do this is through the removal of the current central hub, removing the need for data to be sent via a carrier (or VAN). You may recognise these carriers as Avco Systems, RM and Redstone.

All centres that use EDI will need to download the JCQ migration application between September 2011 and August 2012, when all JCQ awarding bodies will stop supporting the current carrier contracts. This free download will replicate the carriers' existing functionality. Once you are happy it is working, you can allow your carrier contract to finish.

Avco Systems is the third party supplier that won the JCQ tender to build the migration application and support its installation on behalf of the JCQ awarding bodies.
