The Migration Application replaces the carriers’ (or VANs’) existing functionality. Please only download the application once you have permission from the relevant authority within your centre or Local Authority EDI support function.
Before you start the download process you need to have the following information to hand:
- You need to have authorisation to download a software application onto your centre’s system including installing Microsoft .NET 3.5 service pack 1 (if not already installed).
- You need to know which directories you or your MIS system currently place and receive files for transmission to awarding organisations.
- If you currently receive EDI support from a Local Authority (or other regionally managed services such as C2K), you should contact them for advice on the next steps to be taken.
- You need to have internet connectivity and your proxy server must be correctly configured. Please see this FAQ item for further advice on setting up your proxy server to work with the A2C Migration Application.
